Floral facial steam

Ellen Roggemann

- inhale beauty into every pore -

Why it's amazing:

Using a facial steam clears the pores of excess gunk and promotes healthy circulation. In this blend, lavender and chamomile both calm the skin and spirit while rose and cinnamon lend their anti-viral and anti-fungal benefits.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp dried roses or dried rose petals
  • 1 tsp dried chamomile flowers
  • 1 tsp dried lavender
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick

Note: you may be able to find the dried roses and dried lavender in the tea section of your favorite grocery store. Loose leaf is easier, but if its in tea bags, just cut them open and measure out the contents.

Directions:

Boil 3 cups of water. Pour it in a bowl with the dried roses, lavender, and cinnamon stick. Allow to steep for three minutes. Add up to 1.5 cups of cool water. You want the water to steam generously but you don't want it to scald you (you can test this with your finger). Stick your face over the bowl with a clean towel draped over your head and the bowl. Breath deep and let it drip.
